Diagonal Pliers Cimco 101050

The Cimco 101050 diagonal pliers are precision cutting tools designed for tasks that require clean, accurate cuts in wire, leads and small components. Constructed from durable steel and measuring 132 mm in length, these pliers combine a compact form factor with a comfortable grip geometry. The tool includes Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) protection to reduce the risk of static damage when working with sensitive electronic components.

Advantages

These diagonal pliers provide precise cutting edges that maintain sharpness for reliable performance on copper, soft wire and component leads. The ESD-protective finish helps dissipate static charge, making the tool suitable for electronics assembly and repair. The 132 mm length balances access in tight spaces with leverage for controlled cutting, while the robust steel construction ensures long service life under regular use.

Suitable for

• Cutting insulated and uninsulated copper wire and cable strands
• Trimming component leads on printed circuit boards
• Electronics assembly and repair where static-sensitive parts are present
• General electrical and hobbyist tasks requiring precise cuts

Key specifications

• Tool type: diagonal cutting pliers
• Material: hardened steel construction
• Length: 132 mm
• ESD protection: yes (electrostatic discharge safe finish)
• Cutting capability: precision cuts for soft wire, component leads

How to use

Position the workpiece as close to the cutting edge as possible for a clean cut, apply steady pressure on the handles and close the jaws in a single smooth motion. For electronic components, ensure the pliers are used on grounded ESD-safe work surfaces and that proper grounding procedures are followed. Inspect the cutting edges regularly and avoid cutting hardened steel or piano wire to prevent damage.

Recommendations

Use the pliers on appropriately rated wire sizes and avoid twisting or prying motions while cutting. Store the tool in a clean, dry place and periodically clean and lightly oil the pivot to maintain smooth operation. When working with static-sensitive components, combine the ESD-protective pliers with wrist straps and grounded mats for optimal static control.
