LC quad fibre optic adapter ACT EA9008 OM3

The ACT Fiber optic LC quad adapter EA9008 OM3 is a compact connector designed for multimode fiber networks. It provides four LC duplex interfaces in a single quad-format housing, compatible with OM3 (50/125 µm) multimode fiber and finished with zirconia (ZrO2) ferrules to maintain low insertion loss. The adapter is cyan (aqua) for quick identification in cabling systems and supports high-speed data transmission in data centers and enterprise networks.

Advantages

This LC quad adapter offers a dense, space-saving connection point for multimode fiber, combining four LC interfaces into one module. Zirconia ferrules ensure stable optical alignment and low loss (≤ 0.2 dB at 850 nm). The OM3 compatibility and aqua color simplify installation in multimode trunks and patch panels while maintaining reliable performance for short-reach, high-bandwidth links.

Suitable for

• OM3/OM4 multimode fiber (50/125 µm) installations
• Patch panels and fiber distribution frames
• Data centre short-reach high-speed links (850 nm)
• Multimode trunking and cross-connects

Key specifications

• Connector type: LC quad (LC duplex ×2)
• Ferrule material: Zirconia (ZrO2)
• Fiber compatibility: OM3 (50/125 µm)
• Typical insertion loss: ≤ 0.2 dB @ 850 nm
• Color: Aqua / Cyan
• Brand: ACT, MPN: EA9008, EAN: 8716065288483

How to use

Install the LC quad adapter into a compatible panel or cassette aperture and align the duplex LC connectors with the adapter ports. Gently insert LC plugs until they click into place, ensuring clean connectors and fibers to minimize loss. For removal, depress the LC latch and withdraw the connector in a straight motion. Use standard multimode cleaning procedures before mating connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use with OM3 or OM4 50/125 µm multimode fiber and maintain connector endface cleanliness. Verify insertion loss on new links and protect the adapter from excessive mechanical stress. The adapter is intended for indoor telecommunication environments such as data centres and wiring closets.
