Shelly BLU Button 1 Smart Button

The Shelly BLU Button 1 is a compact smart button for quick control of Shelly Bluetooth-enabled devices. Its small red body and long-lasting CR2032 battery (up to 2 years) make it easy to place anywhere for convenient one-click operation. The button communicates over Bluetooth to trigger actions on Shelly Plus and Pro devices and supports multi-click sequences, immediate response, visual and sound cues, and a broad indoor/outdoor range.

Advantages

Shelly BLU Button 1 offers up to four configurable click combinations to execute scenes or device actions, response time under one second, and low battery consumption. It provides sound and color indications for status, supports AES encryption and protection against replay attacks for secure communication, and benefits from Bluetooth range extension via Shelly Plus and Pro devices acting as repeaters. The button also supports scripting on local Shelly devices to enable advanced, RSSI-aware automations and multi-location use with the same device.

How to use

Set up the Shelly BLU Button 1 via the Shelly Smart Control app and pair it with nearby Shelly Plus or Pro devices enabled as Bluetooth gateways. Assign up to four actions or scenes to different click combinations through the app. Place the button where you need quick access and use single, double, triple or quadruple clicks to trigger the corresponding pre-set actions. When within range, the button can also trigger local scripted actions on Shelly devices for more complex automations.

Recommendations

Place the button within the recommended Bluetooth range and ensure at least one Shelly Plus or Pro device with Bluetooth gateway enabled is nearby to extend coverage. Replace the CR2032 battery when low and use the Shelly app to test click combinations and status indications before relying on the button for critical automations.
