Staedtler 510 10 PR2 pencil sharpener

The Staedtler 510 10 PR2 pencil sharpener is a compact, precision tool designed and manufactured in Germany for reliable pencil sharpening. Its durable housing and sharpened cutting element deliver consistent point quality for a range of pencil diameters, while the small footprint makes it convenient for school bags, office drawers, and home use. The design focuses on ease of use and maintenance, providing accurate sharpening without excessive waste of pencil material.

Advantages

The sharpener combines robust construction with a simple mechanism to ensure long service life and repeatable performance. Its cutting element produces an even point suitable for writing and drawing, and the compact body is easy to handle and transport. The removable shaving container allows for quick emptying, and the overall build reduces the risk of breakage or jamming during normal use.

Suitable for

• Sharpening standard wooden pencils used for writing and sketching
• Use in schools and classrooms for students of different ages
• Office desks for everyday note-taking and drafting
• Home craft and hobby work where a reliable pencil point is required

Key specifications

• Country of manufacture: Germany
• Compact, pocketable size suitable for storage in pencil cases
• Durable cutting mechanism for consistent sharpening
• Removable shaving container for convenient cleaning
• Compatible with a range of standard pencil diameters

How to use

Insert the pencil gently into the sharpening hole and rotate the pencil while holding the sharpener steady, or rotate the sharpener around the pencil to achieve the desired point. Check the pencil tip periodically to avoid over-sharpening. When the shaving container fills, remove it carefully and dispose of the shavings, then reattach the container before further use. For best results, use with standard wooden pencils and avoid forcing oversized or nonstandard cores into the sharpening aperture.

Recommendations

For prolonged sharpener life and consistent results, empty the shaving container regularly and avoid exposing the sharpener to moisture. If sharpening colored or soft-lead pencils, do so with gentle, steady rotations to reduce stress on the cutting element.
