UNI-T MIE0528 UT685B KIT Cable Certifier and Network Tester

Where most cable testers stop at wiremap and length, the UNI-T UT685B KIT pushes into full Level IIIe certification and live network diagnostics. It certifies copper links up to 250 MHz across Cat5e to Cat8, measuring not just continuity but insertion loss, return loss, NEXT, FEXT, ACR-F, ACR-N, and their power-sum variants. The 5.7-inch colour display and 1000-report storage keep field work efficient and traceable, while PoE detection, PING, and DHCP tests verify the link is truly ready for service.

Highlights

• Certifies Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a, Cat7, and Cat8 links to TIA-568A/B and ISO/IEC 11801 Level IIIe
• Measures length up to 150 m with ±(1 m + 3 %) accuracy, plus wiremap, delay skew, and crosstalk parameters
• Tests Power over Ethernet (PoE) voltage, power, and standard, and performs PING, DHCP, and link speed checks
• 5.7-inch TFT LCD with 640 x 480 resolution for clear, detailed results
• Stores up to 1000 test reports and includes PC software for report generation and management
• Rechargeable 7.4 V, 2200 mAh lithium battery provides approximately 8 hours of continuous operation
• Complete kit: main unit, remote unit, adapters, USB cable, power adapter, and carry case

In daily use

The UT685B KIT is built for installers and network administrators who need fast, reliable certification without sacrificing advanced troubleshooting. The large display and intuitive interface reduce setup time, while the remote unit allows true end-to-end testing of installed links. The TDR function pinpoints faults such as opens, shorts, and impedance mismatches, and the PoE and network tests verify that the link not only meets cabling standards but also delivers power and data correctly. With a rechargeable battery and rugged carry case, it is ready for daily field use.
