2-power 2P-6-87-W650S-4D4A1 - Battery

For network engineers who refuse to let power instability compromise uptime, the 2-POWER 2P-6-87-W650S-4D4A1 battery delivers a dependable energy reserve tailored to Extreme Networks switch chassis. Unlike generic replacements that risk compatibility drift, this unit is engineered around the exact power envelope of the VSP 4900 series, ensuring clean failover and sustained operation during brief outages.

Highlights

• Purpose-built for Extreme Networks VSP 4900 chassis environments
• Stable output that supports feature licenses including MACsec and ExtremeCloud SD-WAN
• Maintains switch state during short power interruptions, reducing reboot cycles
• Straightforward drop-in replacement for routine maintenance or emergency swaps
• Compatible with extended warranty service terms such as NBD AHR and OSE options

In daily use

When line power flickers or drops, this battery bridges the gap so your switching fabric stays alive. It is particularly valuable in branch offices running SD-WAN edge services, where a momentary loss can force re-convergence and degrade voice or video quality. The unit's predictable discharge curve helps administrators plan maintenance windows and avoid unexpected downtime during firmware updates or configuration pushes.
