Why buy ACT from DistriNode?
Largest patch cable selection
Over 1,600 Ethernet patch cable SKUs — CAT5e to CAT6A, all colours and lengths. ACT covers every structured cabling requirement from the workstation to the data centre.
Long-distance fibre optic trunks
Pre-terminated OM3, OM4 and OS2 single-mode trunk cables from ACT with LC, SC and MPO connectors — tested and ready to install.
CPR-compliant cable drums
Bulk cables such as the B2ca-rated CAT6A F/UTP 500 m drum meet the fire protection requirements of the EU Construction Products Regulation for commercial buildings.
One supplier for all cables
ACT covers copper, fibre optic, USB, HDMI and power cables in consistent quality — fewer suppliers, simpler procurement.
ACT product range
Pro tip: For new building installations, always choose ACT CPR-classified cable drums (B2ca or Dca) — they meet fire safety requirements without separate certification and are increasingly required by insurers.
Frequently asked questions about ACT
What is the difference between ACT OM3, OM4 and OS2 fibre optic cables?
OM3 and OM4 are multimode fibres for short to medium distances (up to ~300 m and ~400 m respectively at 10G). OS2 is a single-mode fibre for long distances up to several dozen kilometres. ACT offers all three types in indoor/outdoor jackets with LC, SC or MPO connectors.
Are ACT CAT6A cables suitable for 10 Gigabit Ethernet?
Yes. ACT CAT6A F/UTP cables are rated up to 500 MHz and fully support 10GBASE-T up to 100 metres. The solid-core AWG 23 construction and overall shielding eliminate alien crosstalk in densely packed cable ducts.
What does the CPR B2ca classification mean for ACT cables?
The B2ca class of the EU Construction Products Regulation (CPR) stands for limited flame spread, limited heat release and very low smoke toxicity. In many EU countries, the use of CPR-classified cables in commercial buildings is mandatory.
