Akasa AK-959CU cooler

The Akasa AK-959CU is a compact 92 mm CPU cooler combining an aluminum heatsink with a copper core and a PWM-controlled fan. Designed for Intel LGA775 and LGA115x platforms, the cooler supports processors with up to 115 W TDP and includes pre-applied thermal compound for straightforward installation. Its multi-directional heatsink with bi-ped fins improves heat dissipation while keeping the unit’s dimensions small (95 × 95 × 62 mm) for compatibility with a variety of PC builds.

Advantages

The engineered aluminium heatsink with a copper core provides effective thermal transfer, while bi-ped fins increase surface area for better heat dissipation. The PWM fan offers automatic speed regulation according to CPU load, producing low noise during typical operation and higher airflow when required. Intel-approved push pins simplify mounting on both LGA775 and LGA115x sockets without manual adjustment, and the pre-applied high-performance thermal interface ensures a clean, quick installation.

Suitable for

• Small and mid-sized desktop systems with Intel LGA775 or LGA115x sockets
• Systems requiring a compact 92 mm cooler (95 × 95 × 62 mm)
• Builds with CPUs up to 115 W TDP (improved cooling with good case airflow)

Key specifications

• Type: CPU cooler
• Fan diameter: 92 mm
• Fan speed: 600–3000 RPM (PWM)
• Maximum air pressure: 4.05 mmH2O
• Operating voltage: 12 V
• Supported sockets: Intel LGA775, LGA1150, LGA1155, LGA1156 (LGA115x family)
• Dimensions: 95 × 95 × 62 mm
• Weight: 0.317 kg
• Colour: Silver, Black

How to use

Place the cooler over the CPU socket, align the Intel-approved push pins with the motherboard holes and press until the pins click to secure the unit; the push pins will automatically slide into the correct position. Connect the 3- or 4-pin PWM fan connector to the CPU fan header on the motherboard. Ensure the pre-applied thermal compound is intact before installation; if removed or damaged, apply a thin, even layer of high-quality thermal paste. After mounting, verify fan operation in BIOS or with monitoring software and check that case airflow is not obstructed.

Recommendations

For optimal cooling performance, use the AK-959CU in systems with adequate case airflow and ensure the fan header is set to PWM mode so the fan speed adjusts automatically with CPU load. Clean dust from the heatsink and fan periodically to maintain efficiency.
