ALLNET ALL-MCS014 Network Media Converter

The ALLNET ALL-MCS014 is a Gigabit Ethernet network media converter in a black enclosure designed to interconnect different physical media within a local or campus network. With support for Gigabit Ethernet speeds, compact rack-friendly dimensions and CE certification, the device provides reliable media conversion to maintain high-speed data transmission and continuity between copper and fiber infrastructure or different link segments.

Advantages

The converter supports Gigabit Ethernet throughput for minimal latency and sustained data transfer. Its black metal housing and practical footprint suit equipment racks and shelf installations. CE certification indicates compliance with applicable European safety and electromagnetic compatibility requirements. The unit is intended to operate as a transparent link-layer device, preserving network frames and link negotiation parameters.

Suitable for

• Connecting copper Ethernet segments to fiber links in enterprise and campus networks
• Extending network reach between buildings or distant rooms
• Integrating mixed-media network environments during upgrades or migrations

Key specifications

• Ethernet interface type: Gigabit Ethernet
• Product colour: Black
• Dimensions: 231 mm (W) × 485 mm (D) × 90 mm (H)
• Certification: CE

How to use

Install the media converter in a suitable rack space or on a stable shelf. Connect the incoming copper Gigabit Ethernet cable to the RJ45 port and the outgoing fiber or alternative media cable to the corresponding port, ensuring proper connector types and polarity where applicable. Power the unit from the appropriate supply and verify link/activity indicators to confirm successful negotiation and link establishment. Configure connected switches or devices as needed to match duplex and speed settings if manual configuration is required.

Recommendations

Place the converter in a ventilated environment away from direct heat sources, maintain proper cable routing to avoid signal interference, and verify compatibility of fiber types and transceivers before deployment. Use the device as a transparent link element and monitor link status periodically to ensure reliable operation.
