Anker B1723311 60 W Solar Module, Black

Anker B1723311 60 W in black is a portable photovoltaic panel designed to convert sunlight into electrical energy for charging batteries and powering small devices. With a nominal output of 60 watts, the panel is intended for use in off-grid situations, recreational vehicles, camping trips and as a compact backup power source. Its black finish and compact dimensions make it suitable for temporary installations where space and transportability matter.

Advantages

The panel delivers a predictable 60 W rated power under standard test conditions, providing a straightforward way to harvest solar energy for 12 V battery systems and small inverters. Its construction emphasises portability and ease of handling, enabling quick deployment and repositioning. The black appearance reduces visual contrast on dark surfaces and the panel is compatible with common charge controllers and mounting options used in mobile and small-scale renewable energy setups.

Suitable for

• Charging 12 V lead‑acid or lithium batteries via a compatible charge controller
• Supplementing power in RVs, campervans and caravans
• Providing energy for tents, outdoor lighting and small appliances during camping
• Temporary backup power for small electronics during outages
• Portable off‑grid setups and fieldwork where mains power is unavailable

Key specifications

• Rated output power: 60 W
• Color: black
• Intended system voltage: nominal 12 V applications
• Typical use: portable and compact solar generation for small loads
• Physical attributes: lightweight and compact form factor for transport and temporary mounting

How to use

Mount the panel in a location with direct sunlight and minimal shading, orienting it toward the sun for maximum exposure. Connect the panel to a compatible charge controller before hooking to a battery to prevent overcharging. Use appropriate cables and connectors rated for the panel's current, and follow the charge controller and battery manufacturer instructions. For powering AC appliances, connect the battery to a suitably sized inverter; ensure the inverter and wiring meet the expected load and safety requirements.

Recommendations

Position the panel to capture the strongest sun between mid‑morning and mid‑afternoon and periodically clean the surface to maintain performance. Use a charge controller with overcharge protection and correct voltage settings for your battery type. Avoid covering the panel or exposing it to prolonged shading, and store the panel in a dry place when not in use.
