Audac AUDAC COM108 80W 100V Public Address Amplifier

The AUDAC COM108 Black 80W Class D amplifier is a compact public address mixing amplifier designed for small to medium commercial audio systems. It provides 80 W peak power per channel with low total harmonic distortion (0.5%), and supports constant voltage outputs (100 V and 70 V) as well as low-impedance 4 Ω loudspeaker connections. The unit accepts a wide mains range (100–240 V, 50–60 Hz) via a switch-mode power supply and is finished in a low-profile chassis measuring 217.5 mm (W) × 300 mm (D) × 43.7 mm (H), making it suitable for table-top placement or rack installation with an optional mounting set.

Advantages

The COM108 uses Class D amplifier technology to deliver efficient power with minimal heat generation and an overall total harmonic distortion of 0.5%, ensuring clear audio reproduction. The device supports both constant-voltage and low-impedance loads, enabling flexible integration into 100 V, 70 V or 4 Ω systems. Input options include a stereo line input for media sources and a balanced mic/line input with 15 V phantom power for condenser microphones, while a priority function temporarily overrides background audio for announcements. Its universal mains compatibility and compact footprint simplify installation across a variety of commercial locations.

Suitable for

• Background music systems in retail stores and shopping areas
• Bars, restaurants and hospitality venues
• Office buildings, meeting rooms and reception areas
• Small public address applications and voice announcements

How to use

Connect the amplifier to the mains supply within the specified voltage and frequency range. Wire loudspeakers to the appropriate output type depending on the system design (100 V, 70 V or 4 Ω). Use the stereo line inputs for media players, tuners or streaming devices, and connect announcements or a microphone to the balanced mic/line input; enable the 15 V phantom power when a condenser microphone requires it. Adjust the input gain and master levels to obtain the desired background music level, and enable the priority function when announcement override is needed. The COM108 can be placed on a tabletop or installed into a rack using an optional mounting set for fixed installations.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, match loudspeaker impedance and transformer taps to the selected output (100 V or 70 V) and avoid driving the amplifier beyond rated power to reduce distortion. Use balanced cabling for microphone inputs to maintain signal quality, and enable phantom power only when required. Position the unit with adequate ventilation and consider rack mounting for permanent installations.
