Audio cable 2m Omnitronic 30225182

The Omnitronic 30225182 audio cable is a 2 m connection lead with a female XLR (3-pin) connector on one end and a male 6.35 mm (1/4") jack on the other. It is designed for balanced or unbalanced connections where a microphone or other XLR-equipped device needs to feed an amplifier, mixer or instrument input with a 6.35 mm jack. The cable comes in black and combines flexible insulation with a sturdy connector housing to support frequent setup changes and stage or studio use.

Advantages

This audio cable offers a compact 2 m length that balances reach and portability. The combination of a female 3-pin XLR connector and a male 6.35 mm jack enables direct connection between professional microphones, DI boxes or preamps and line-level inputs on mixers or amplifiers. Durable connector housings and strain relief reduce the risk of failure at connection points, while the cable's construction helps preserve audio clarity and minimize interference during typical live or studio workflows.

How to use

Insert the female XLR connector onto the male XLR output of the microphone or source device, ensuring the latch engages. Plug the male 6.35 mm jack into the line or instrument input of the mixer, amplifier or DI box. Check levels on the receiving device and enable phantom power only if required by the microphone and supported by the connection path. Route the cable to avoid tight bends and excessive tension; use cable clamps or ties to secure runs and reduce handling noise.

Recommendations

For reliable audio quality, keep cable runs as short as practical and avoid running the cable parallel to mains power lines. Inspect connectors regularly for secure contacts and replace the cable if insulation or strain relief shows visible wear. When using condenser microphones that require phantom power, verify that the receiving device supplies phantom power to the XLR end and that the 6.35 mm input can accept the resulting signal level.
