Auerswald COMpact NET Module Network Switch Module Compatibility Compact 5200R 5500R

Expansion module for COMpact 5200/5200R/5500R and COMtrexx Business that adds a second Ethernet interface to the system, enabling a separate IP address range for VoIP and the option to separate telephony and data traffic.

Advantages

The COMpact NET Module provides a second Ethernet interface so the PBX can use distinct IP address ranges for voice and data. This separation increases security for VoIP communications and reduces interaction between telephony and general network traffic. The module enables clearer network segmentation without altering the primary system configuration.

Key specifications

• Second Ethernet interface for COMpact 5200/5200R/5500R and COMtrexx Business
• Support for a separate IP address range dedicated to VoIP
• Improved security for VoIP telephony through network separation
• Capability to separate telephony and data traffic into different IP ranges

How to use

Install the COMpact NET Module into the compatible COMpact or COMtrexx Business system according to the manufacturer's installation instructions. Configure the second Ethernet interface with the desired IP address range for VoIP in the system settings and adjust routing and firewall rules if required to enforce separation between voice and data networks.

Recommendations

Use the module together with proper network configuration and firewall rules to ensure VoIP traffic is isolated; consult the system manual or a network specialist for integrating the second interface into existing infrastructure.
