Bahco 1/4” S460 Socket Set Metric Drive Size

The Bahco 1/4” S460 Metric Drive Size socket set is a compact tool collection designed for metric fasteners. The set groups commonly used metric sockets and a 1/4” drive ratchet into a space-saving kit suitable for workshop drawers, tool bags or vehicle storage. Intended to provide reliable torque transfer and straightforward access to bolts and nuts, the set supports routine maintenance, small repairs and assembly tasks.

Advantages

The compact layout and lightweight case make the set easy to store and transport while protecting individual sockets. Sockets and the ratchet are produced to maintain secure seating on fasteners and consistent engagement, reducing slipping and rounding. The metric sizes cover common thread and fastener standards used in machinery, bicycles, automotive trim and domestic fixtures.

Suitable for

• Light vehicle maintenance and trim work
• Bicycle and motorcycle adjustments
• Home repairs and furniture assembly
• Electronics enclosures and small machinery service

Key specifications

• Drive size: 1/4 inch
• Metric socket range: common metric sizes (compact set)
• Ratchet type: fine-pitch or standard 1/4” ratchet with reversible direction
• Case: compact protective storage case for sockets and accessories
• Material: corrosion-resistant alloy steel construction for sockets and ratchet

How to use

Select the appropriate metric socket for the fastener, attach it to the 1/4” drive ratchet and engage the ratchet direction as required. Apply steady torque while keeping the socket square to the fastener head to reduce rounding. For confined spaces, use the compact sockets and extend reach with an appropriate accessory if included. Store sockets in the case after use to keep sizes organized and protect finish.

Recommendations

Use the set within the rated torque capability of the 1/4” drive; avoid excessive force or impact tools on a standard 1/4” ratchet to prevent damage. Clean and lightly lubricate the ratchet mechanism periodically and inspect sockets for wear before precision tasks.
