Baking dish Ritzenhoff & Breker 807240 rectangular glass 3.2 L

The Ritzenhoff & Breker 807240 rectangular baking dish is a 3.2 L glass casserole designed for baking, roasting and serving. Constructed from transparent tempered glass with a fitted plastic lid, the dish provides even heat distribution and allows visual monitoring of cooking progress. Its rectangular shape maximises usable space in the oven and on the table, while the lid helps retain moisture and makes storage simpler after preparation.

Advantages

The glass body offers predictable heat transfer for uniform cooking and browning, and its smooth surface is easy to clean. The included plastic lid provides a practical cover for transporting and refrigerating prepared food without changing cookware. The rectangular form factor fits well in most domestic ovens and allows efficient stacking in cupboards. The neutral transparent appearance suits different table settings and serving styles.

Suitable for

• Baking lasagne, casseroles and gratins
• Roasting vegetables, poultry pieces or small joint cuts
• Marinating, storing and refrigerating prepared dishes
• Serving hot or cold dishes directly at the table

Key specifications

• Capacity: 3.2 litres
• Shape: rectangular
• Material: tempered glass body with plastic lid
• Finish: transparent glass
• Suitable for oven use (verify temperature limits with manufacturer instructions)

How to use

Place ingredients evenly in the dish to promote uniform cooking and avoid sudden temperature changes by not placing a cold dish directly into a hot oven. Use oven mitts when handling hot glassware. The plastic lid can be used for storage and transport but remove it before placing the dish in the oven. After use, allow the dish to cool before cleaning; warm soapy water or a dishwasher-safe cycle (if specified by the manufacturer) can be used to clean the glass and lid.

Recommendations

For best results, preheat the oven to the required temperature before inserting the dish, avoid exposing the hot glass to cold surfaces or liquids, and check manufacturer guidance for maximum oven temperatures. Use the lid for refrigeration and transport rather than for high-temperature cooking.
