Bialetti 0001405 Combination Coffee Machine

The Bialetti Mini Express (model 0001405) is a manual combi coffee maker for ground coffee that brews up to two cups. This version features a yellow design inspired by Roy Lichtenstein’s pop-art style and includes the aluminium support plate that warms the served cups using residual heat from the Moka-style brewing process.

Advantages

The compact aluminium construction delivers even extraction typical of Moka pots while the integrated support plate keeps two cups warm at serving. Its manual operation requires no electricity and the two‑cup capacity is convenient for small households or couples. The Lichtenstein design adds a distinctive visual accent without affecting functionality.

Suitable for

• Preparing up to two servings of strong, Moka-style coffee
• Households or couples seeking a compact stovetop coffee maker
• Users who prefer a manual, electricity-free brewing method
• Kitchens where a decorative, art-inspired appliance is desired

How to use

Fill the lower chamber with water up to the safety valve level, insert the filter funnel and add an appropriate dose of ground coffee without tamping. Assemble the unit, place it on a stovetop over low to medium heat and allow the coffee to rise into the upper chamber. After brewing, remove from heat and place two cups on the aluminium support plate so they warm from the residual heat before pouring and serving.

Recommendations

Use medium-fine ground coffee and avoid excessive heat to prevent burning; hand wash aluminium parts and dry thoroughly to preserve the coloured finish.
