Cable Adapter ShiverPeaks BS57070

The ShiverPeaks BS57070 cable gender changer provides a compact and reliable solution for connecting audio devices with different connector sizes. One end features a 6.3 mm connector and the other end a 3.5 mm connector, with nickel-plated contacts to improve durability and ensure consistent electrical contact. Available in black and silver finishes, the adapter addresses common connection mismatches between professional and consumer audio equipment.

Advantages

This gender changer offers a simple, passive conversion between 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm connections without requiring additional power or signal processing. Nickel-plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain good conductivity over time, while the compact form factor allows easy integration into setups with limited space. The dual-color availability lets users match the adapter to their equipment aesthetics.

Suitable for

• Connecting professional audio gear (6.3 mm) to consumer devices (3.5 mm)
• Adapting headphones or microphones with differing plug sizes
• Temporary or permanent connection solutions in recording, rehearsal, and live sound environments
• Home audio systems where size conversion is required

Key specifications

• Connector 1: 6.3 mm
• Connector 2: 3.5 mm
• Contact plating: Nickel-plated contacts for improved durability and conductivity
• Colour options: Black, Silver

How to use

Insert the 6.3 mm plug or jack into the corresponding side of the adapter and connect the 3.5 mm plug or jack to the opposite side. Handle the connectors gently when inserting or removing to avoid stressing the cable or connected ports.

Recommendations

For best performance, use the adapter in dry, indoor environments and avoid exposing the nickel-plated contacts to excessive moisture or corrosive conditions. If connecting sensitive equipment, check compatibility regarding mono/stereo wiring and balanced/unbalanced signals to ensure the adapter meets the required signal format.
