Cable Jacket Stripper Cimco 100686 Black Red Steel

The Cable Stripper Cimco 100686 Black Red Steel is a compact hand tool designed for precise removal of outer insulation on cables with a stripping capacity up to 5 mm. With a 160 mm overall length and a durable plastic handle, the tool balances control and lightweight handling at approximately 160 g. The black, red and steel finish provides clear visual contrast between the working parts and the grip, helping users position the tool accurately during repetitive stripping tasks.

Advantages

The tool's compact dimensions and low weight reduce hand fatigue during extended use while maintaining stability and control. A durable plastic handle offers slip resistance and easy cleaning after fieldwork. The blade geometry and adjustment features are optimized for consistent stripping up to 5 mm, enabling reliable results on small cables and conductors. The simple, mechanical design requires no power source and is suitable for quick on-site or workshop operations.

Suitable for

• Stripping outer insulation from single-core and multi-core cables up to 5 mm diameter
• Electrical installation and maintenance work in residential and light commercial settings
• Electronics assembly, prototyping and instrument wiring requiring precise insulation removal
• Field service and repair tasks where a compact, portable stripper is required

Key specifications

• Stripping capacity: up to 5 mm
• Overall length: 160 mm
• Weight: approximately 160 g
• Handle: durable plastic for grip and insulation
• Finish: black, red and steel-colored components
• Tool type: manual cable stripper for precision work

How to use

Place the cable between the stripping jaws and align the blade to the desired insulation depth for the specific conductor size. Squeeze the handle to clamp the cable and rotate or pull the tool as appropriate to remove the insulation cleanly. For repeatable results, test on a scrap piece of the same cable and adjust blade position or clamping pressure until the conductor is undamaged and insulation is removed to the required length. Keep fingers clear of the blade area and ensure the tool is properly maintained and free of debris before use.

Recommendations

Use the Cable Stripper Cimco 100686 for small-diameter cable insulation removal tasks where controlled, repeatable stripping is required. Regularly inspect the blade for wear and replace or service it if cutting quality diminishes. Store the tool in a dry place to avoid corrosion of metal parts and keep out of reach of children. For safety, disconnect live cables and verify circuits are de-energized before performing stripping operations.
