Cable sleeve DeLOCK 20896 brown polyester 3mm

The DeLOCK 20896 cable sleeve is a brown polyester braided sleeving with an approximate diameter of 3 mm, designed to bundle and protect exposed cables, wires and tubes in home and office environments. It provides a neat appearance while protecting cables from dirt and mechanical damage.

Advantages

This braided sleeving is rodent resistant while remaining pliable and flexible, allowing it to be routed and shaped as needed. It is highly stretchable so it can accommodate multiple cables of different diameters. The polyester braid offers abrasion and heat resistance for long-lasting protection. The sleeve is reusable — cables and tubes can be inserted and removed multiple times — and it can be cut to length with a hot cutting tool to prevent unraveling.

Suitable for

• Bundling and organizing power, data and audio cables
• Protecting wiring in office and home setups
• Routing cables through tight spaces and conduits
• Light mechanical protection where rodent resistance is required

How to use

Slide the braided sleeve over the cable bundle or push individual cables into the sleeve by expanding the braid. For easier insertion, stretch the sleeving slightly and work progressively along the cable length. If required, shorten the sleeving to size using a hot cutting tool to seal the cut edge and prevent fraying. Route the sleeved cables into place and secure the ends with cable ties or heat-shrink tubing if additional fixation is needed.

Recommendations

For cutting, use an appropriate hot knife or soldering iron to obtain a clean, sealed edge. Avoid exposing the sleeve to direct flame or temperatures beyond the specified heat-resistance limits of polyester. Inspect periodically for wear if used in areas with mechanical strain or high rodent activity.
