Cimco 112517 Combination Key

The Cimco 112517 combination wrench in 17 mm size is a single-piece hand tool forged from chromium-vanadium steel and finished with chrome plating to resist corrosion. It combines an open-ended jaw at one end and a ring (box) end at the other, giving versatile contact options for tightening and loosening hex fasteners. The tool's solid construction and chrome finish support repeated workshop use while simplifying maintenance and cleaning.

Advantages

The chromium-vanadium steel construction delivers a balance of strength and toughness necessary for torque applications and reduces the risk of bending or fracture under normal usage. Chrome plating enhances surface hardness and provides protection against rust and chemical exposure common in garages and industrial environments. The single-piece design ensures aligned contact surfaces and consistent performance between the open and ring ends. A 17 mm size covers a common range of automotive and machinery fasteners.

Suitable for

• Automotive repairs and maintenance
• Assembly and disassembly of machinery
• General household and DIY projects
• Professional workshop and service tasks

Key specifications

• Wrench type: combination (open end + ring end)
• Size: 17 mm
• Material: chromium-vanadium steel
• Finish: chrome-plated
• Construction: single-piece forged design

How to use

Select the 17 mm combination wrench when the fastener head matches the 17 mm size. Position the open end for quick turning or where access is limited; use the ring end to engage more faces of the fastener for higher torque and reduced rounding risk. Ensure the wrench fully seats on the fastener before applying force, and pull the tool toward you rather than pushing away when possible to reduce slippage. After use, wipe clean and store in a dry tool organizer to maintain the chrome finish.

Recommendations

Inspect the wrench periodically for wear or damage before use. Do not use the wrench as a hammer or pry bar. For high-torque requirements, use appropriate torque tools or a wrench sized for the required load to avoid damaging the tool or fastener. Store in a dry environment to prolong the chrome finish and prevent corrosion.
