Cimco 143032 Spade Metal Red

The Cimco 143032 spade is a metal garden tool finished in red, designed for general digging, planting and soil turning. Constructed from durable metal with an ergonomic handle shape, the spade balances strength and usability to support repeated outdoor use. Its flat, tapered blade profile facilitates penetration into compacted soil while the solid shaft and head connection increases reliability for demanding tasks.

Advantages

The metal construction provides improved durability compared with lighter materials, resisting bending and wear during frequent use. The red finish improves visibility when stored or placed on the ground. An ergonomic handle form reduces hand fatigue and helps maintain control during digging and leverage operations. The blade shape and edge geometry are shaped for efficient cutting of turf and roots while keeping soil retention minimal on the blade surface.

Suitable for

• Digging planting holes for shrubs and small trees
• Edging lawn beds and trenches
• Turning and aerating garden soil
• Transplanting perennials and moving soil in landscaping projects

Key specifications

• Material: metal blade and shaft
• Finish: red coating for visibility and basic corrosion protection
• Blade type: flat, tapered digging blade suitable for cutting turf and roots
• Handle: ergonomic shape for improved grip and leverage
• Intended use: garden and landscaping manual digging tasks

How to use

Position the spade blade at the desired digging point and apply downward force on the top of the blade or step on the tread if present to insert the blade into the soil. Use the handle to lift and move soil, levering out clumps as required. For planting, dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant, then backfill and firm the soil. Clean soil from the blade after use and inspect the connection between blade and shaft for wear to maintain safe operation.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate hand protection and footwear when using the spade. Store the tool in a dry place to reduce corrosion risk and periodically check and tighten any fittings. Avoid using the spade as a pry bar on very large rocks or frozen ground to prevent damage.
