Cisco C9300L-24P-4X-A Managed L2/L3 Network Switch

The Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series switch C9300L-24P-4X-A is a managed L2/L3 Gigabit Ethernet switch with 24 RJ-45 ports supporting 10/100/1000 Mbps speeds and full-duplex operation. Built as part of Cisco's Catalyst 9300 family, it provides high-density stacking bandwidth, flexible uplink options and an x86-based platform that supports modern programmability and IoT convergence while remaining compliant with relevant IEEE networking standards.

Advantages

This managed switch delivers enterprise-grade features such as a 32,000-entry MAC address table, support for VLANs and link aggregation, and compatibility with Cisco StackWise and StackPower technologies for resilient stacking and power sharing. With PoE+/UPOE-capable ports, a UADP 2.0-based architecture and Cisco IOS XE programmability, the device supports advanced security, high throughput and future extensibility for containerized or third-party applications.

Suitable for

• Enterprise access-layer switching for offices and campus networks
• Deployments requiring PoE+ power for IP phones, wireless access points and cameras
• Environments needing L2/L3 features such as VLANs, link aggregation and 802.1x authentication
• Stacked switch topologies using StackWise for high-availability and scalable uplinks

How to use

Install the C9300L-24P-4X-A in a standard 19-inch rack using the supplied mounting brackets. Connect uplinks via the SFP+/uplink ports and attach access devices to the 24 Gigabit RJ-45 ports. Configure basic switching and routing features through the Cisco IOS XE CLI or web-based management tools, define VLANs, enable PoE settings per port if needed, and set up stacking with StackWise for multi-switch management. Apply appropriate security policies such as 802.1x and ACLs as required for your network.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, ensure firmware is kept up to date, provision sufficient power budget when using PoE/PoE+ devices, and configure stacking for redundancy. Follow Cisco guidelines for grounding and airflow in rack installations and monitor switch health through SNMP or Cisco management tools.
