Cooler Master Elite 301 Lite mATX computer case black

The Cooler Master Elite 301 Lite mATX Black is a compact micro-ATX computer case with a transparent side panel and a minimalist black exterior. Designed for small to medium builds, the chassis provides a balance of space efficiency and airflow. The case ships with a single pre-installed 120mm fan and supports a range of hardware configurations while focusing on straightforward assembly and internal cable routing.

Advantages

The Elite 301 Lite offers a slim footprint suitable for desk or shelf placement and a transparent side panel that allows component visibility without adding bulk. A pre-installed 120mm fan helps establish airflow out of the box, while the internal layout supports common mATX motherboards and standard-length components. Tool-less or simple mounting points reduce assembly time and simplify upgrades.

Suitable for

• Compact micro-ATX gaming builds
• Home office or media center PCs where space is limited
• Users who want an affordable case with a transparent side panel
• Systems with air cooling and modest GPU length requirements

Key specifications

• Form factor: micro-ATX compatible interior
• Included cooling: one 120mm rear fan installed
• Side panel: transparent window for component visibility
• Drive bays: support for standard 3.5" and 2.5" storage drives (internal mounting)
• Front I/O: standard ports accessible on the front/top panel
• Expansion slots: multiple PCI expansion slots for discrete graphics or add-in cards
• Internal layout: room for typical ATX-style power supplies and cable routing options

How to use

Install a compatible micro-ATX motherboard and secure it to the standoffs inside the chassis. Mount the power supply in the designated compartment and route power cables to the motherboard and peripherals using the available internal clearance and tie points. Install storage drives into the appropriate 3.5" or 2.5" mounts, and insert expansion cards into the PCI slots, fastening them to the rear bracket. Connect the front panel I/O cables to the motherboard headers and verify fan orientation for optimal front-to-back airflow. After assembly, perform a power-on test and monitor system temperatures to confirm adequate cooling.

Recommendations

For balanced cooling, use the pre-installed 120mm fan as exhaust and consider adding intake ventilation or additional fans if your components generate higher thermal loads. Verify GPU length and CPU cooler height against the case's internal clearance before purchasing high-profile components. Keep cables organized to maintain unobstructed airflow through the transparent-side chamber.
