DeLOCK 80794 DC 5.5 x 2.1 Cable Connector Black Plug/Socket

The DeLOCK 80794 wire connector is a compact DC connector with a 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel size in black, designed to join power lines with a male-to-female interface. Its small form factor and standard barrel dimensions make it compatible with many DC power adapters and devices where a secure, low-voltage power connection is required. The connector measures 24 mm in width, 30 mm in depth and 11 mm in height and is supplied as a single unit in a polybag.

Advantages

This connector provides a standardized 5.5 x 2.1 mm barrel contact for reliable low-voltage power delivery and a male/female configuration for straightforward inline connections. The compact dimensions allow use in constrained spaces and make it easy to route and secure cables. The black housing offers neutral aesthetics that integrate with common cable and device colors.

Suitable for

• Joining DC power cables for small electronics and consumer devices
• Repairing or extending power leads for routers, CCTV cameras and LED drivers
• Temporary or semi-permanent inline power connections in DIY electronics projects

Key specifications

• Connector type: DC barrel 5.5 x 2.1 mm
• Gender: male to female inline connector
• Color: black
• Dimensions: 24 mm (W) × 30 mm (D) × 11 mm (H)
• Packaging: single unit in polybag

How to use

Insert the matching male or female barrel plug into the corresponding end of the connector until it seats securely. Ensure correct polarity before connecting to a powered source: the centre pin is typically positive on standard DC barrel connectors. Use appropriate cable routing and strain relief to avoid tension on the connector and solder or crimp the cable ends to the mating plugs according to the device and cable specifications if required.

Recommendations

Verify the voltage and polarity compatibility of the connected devices before use and avoid exposing the connector to moisture or mechanical strain. For permanent installations, use proper cable termination methods and strain relief to maintain a reliable contact.
