DeLOCK 83977 SATA Cable 0.2 m Black Red

The DeLOCK 83977 SATA cable is a 0.2 m internal data cable with two SATA 7-pin connectors, designed for reliable connection of SATA devices such as HDDs, SSDs, optical drives and controller cards. The cable supports the SATA III standard with transfer rates up to 6 Gb/s and is backwards compatible with earlier SATA versions. Metal clips on the connectors secure the connection and the cable's compact length makes it suitable for use in confined spaces inside PCs or servers.

Advantages

This SATA cable supports up to 6 Gb/s data transfer when used with SATA III devices and remains compatible with previous SATA generations at their respective speeds. The compact 0.2 m length reduces cable clutter in tight installations. Metal locking clips on both SATA 7-pin connectors provide a secure and audible click when connected. The black and red colour scheme helps distinguish the cable while maintaining a neat appearance inside chassis.

Suitable for

• Connecting internal SSDs and HDDs to motherboard or controller cards
• Hooking up optical drives to internal SATA ports
• Use in compact PC builds and server racks with limited cable space
• Replacing or adding short internal SATA connections

Key specifications

• Cable length: 0.2 m
• Connector 1: SATA 7-pin
• Connector 2: SATA 7-pin
• Data transfer rate: up to 6 Gb/s (SATA III)
• Compatibility: Backwards compatible with earlier SATA versions
• Product colour: Black, Red

How to use

Align the SATA 7-pin connector with the device's SATA port and press until the metal clip clicks to secure the connection. When connecting to a HDD, route the cable so it leads downwards to match the device orientation if required. Ensure both the host (motherboard or controller card) and the device are powered off before connecting or disconnecting the cable. After installation, power on the system and verify that the device is detected in the BIOS/UEFI or operating system.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this cable with SATA III ports and devices to achieve the full 6 Gb/s transfer rate. Avoid excessive bending or sharp kinks in the cable and maintain a short and tidy routing to reduce airflow obstruction within the case.
