DeLOCK 86441 Network Media Converter

The DeLOCK 86441 is a compact Gigabit Ethernet media converter that enables network extension via an optical fiber interface. It provides a single RJ‑45 Ethernet port and an SC fiber connector, supporting data transfer rates up to 1000 Mbit/s and optical transmission over distances up to 10,000 m at a wavelength of 1310 nm. The unit has a wide input voltage range (100–240 V) and low power consumption, making it suitable for space‑saving installations where long‑distance network links are required.

Advantages

The media converter supports Gigabit speeds and long‑reach fiber connections, allowing integration of fiber segments into copper Ethernet networks. Its compact dimensions and low power consumption simplify deployment in constrained environments. The use of an SC connector provides a standardized, reliable fiber interface for singlemode links.

Suitable for

• Extending network connections over long distances (up to 10,000 m)
• Connecting copper Ethernet devices to singlemode fiber networks
• Installing space‑saving network infrastructure in offices, server rooms, or remote sites

Key specifications

• Maximum data transfer rate: 1000 Mbit/s
• Ethernet LAN (RJ‑45) ports: 1
• Fiber optic connector: SC
• Maximum transfer distance: 10,000 m (1310 nm)
• Input voltage: 100–240 V
• Power consumption: 2.3 W
• Dimensions (W×D×H): 51 × 74 × 20 mm

How to use

Connect the RJ‑45 Ethernet cable from your network device to the LAN port on the DeLOCK 86441 and attach the singlemode fiber cable to the SC connector. Ensure the fiber is clean and properly seated. Apply mains power within the specified 100–240 V range. After powering up, verify link/activity LEDs (if present) and test network connectivity at Gigabit speeds. Place the converter in a ventilated, dry location and mount or store it according to available space constraints.

Recommendations

Use singlemode fiber rated for 1310 nm and keep connectors free of dust. For reliable long‑distance links, check transceiver and fiber specifications on both ends and perform regular maintenance of fiber connections.
