DeLOCK 87138 Fibre Optic Connection Box

The DeLOCK Optical Fiber Connection Box 87138 is a wall-mountable enclosure designed to house up to two fiber optic couplings — either 2 × SC Simplex or LC Duplex. With compact dimensions of 106 mm × 24 mm × 80 mm, it provides a secure and space-efficient solution for protecting and organizing fiber terminations in residential or small commercial installations.

Advantages

The fiber optical connection box offers a compact design for wall mounting, easy accommodation of common connector types (SC Simplex and LC Duplex), and a stable enclosure that protects terminations from dust and accidental disturbance. Its small footprint supports tidy cable management and helps maintain consistent signal performance.

Suitable for

• Residential fiber installations
• Small office or retail network endpoints
• Wall-mounted patch points in wiring closets or corridors
• Enclosures for terminating incoming fiber runs

How to use

Mount the box on a suitable wall surface using appropriate screws and anchors. Route the incoming fiber cable into the enclosure and secure it to prevent strain. Install the SC Simplex or LC Duplex adapters into the provided openings, then insert and secure the fiber connectors. Ensure fibers are dressed and fixed inside the box to avoid bending beyond specified radii and to minimize movement.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, handle fiber connectors carefully, avoid tight bends, and use proper strain relief. Verify connector cleanliness before mating and perform optical testing after installation to confirm insertion loss and continuity.
