DeLOCK D-Sub 15 Socket to RJ45 Socket Mounting Kit Yellow

The DeLOCK D-Sub 15 pin female to RJ45 female assembly kit (yellow) provides a modular solution to extend a serial interface using an optional Cat.5 / 5e / 6 cable. The kit contains a D-Sub 15 female connector and an RJ45 female housing that allow custom pin assignment by placing individual cable wires into the chosen connector holes and locking them into the housing.

Advantages

This adapter kit enables flexible wiring of a D-Sub 15 serial connection via commonly available Ethernet cable types (Cat.5 / 5e / 6). The modular design permits individual pin assignment and secure mechanical locking of wires, reducing the need for pre-made cables and simplifying field repairs or custom installations. The yellow housing aids visual identification.

Suitable for

• Extending RS-232/serial connections using Cat.5 / 5e / 6 cable
• Custom serial pinouts for industrial or laboratory equipment
• On-site wiring, repairs, and prototyping of D-Sub 15 interfaces

Key specifications

• Manufacturer: DELOCK
• Model / MPN: 67113
• EAN: 4043619671137
• Connector A: D-Sub 15 pin female
• Connector B: RJ45 female (for Cat.5 / 5e / 6 cable)

How to use

Strip the Cat.5 / 5e / 6 cable to expose the individual conductors, then insert each conductor into the desired hole of the RJ45 housing according to the required pinout. Ensure each wire is fully seated and engage the locking mechanism to secure the cable within the housing. Finally, connect the D-Sub 15 female side to the corresponding male D-Sub port on your device.

Recommendations

Verify the correct pin assignment for your specific serial device before wiring. Use shielded cable or grounding where required by the application, and avoid exceeding the recommended cable length for serial communications to maintain signal integrity.
