DELOCK HDMI EDID Emulator 8K Bidirectional – DELOCK 64321

DELOCK HDMI EDID Emulator 8K bidirectional is an inline adapter that preserves and emulates Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) between HDMI display devices and sources. It is engineered for systems that require stable handshakes and consistent audio/video settings with 8K-capable equipment. The device captures EDID from connected displays or sources and provides a retained EDID profile to prevent unwanted resolution or format changes when components are restarted, connected, or used in complex installations.

Advantages

The EDID emulator supports bidirectional communication to maintain correct video resolution, color depth, and audio settings between source and display, reducing compatibility issues and signal drops. It enables a persistent EDID profile so that displays and sources retain expected settings even if one device is powered off or temporarily disconnected. The compact form factor and passive inline operation make it suitable for rack, AV installation, and testing environments where space and reliability matter.

Suitable for

• Professional AV installations with 8K displays and sources
• Testing and development environments that require stable EDID data
• Home theater setups to prevent resolution or audio format switching
• Digital signage systems where consistent output is critical

Key specifications

• Supports HDMI video formats up to 8K resolution
• Bidirectional EDID communication and emulation
• Preserves video resolution, color depth, and audio format information
• Inline form factor for placement between source and display
• Low-latency passive operation suitable for professional AV chains

How to use

Insert the EDID emulator between the HDMI source and the display by connecting HDMI cables to the input and output ports. Allow the device to read and store the EDID information from the connected display or source; this process typically completes automatically during the initial handshake. Once the emulator has captured the EDID, it will present the stored profile to the connected device on subsequent connections, ensuring consistent video and audio settings without manual configuration.

Recommendations

For reliable operation, connect the emulator directly or via short HDMI cables in the signal path and ensure all devices are powered on during the initial EDID capture. Use the emulator when integrating multiple sources or displays, during system maintenance, or in environments where devices are frequently powered down to maintain stable resolution and audio formats.
