DeLOCK USB 2.0 Adapter USB Type-C Socket to Type-B Plug 65839

The DeLOCK USB 2.0 adapter (model 65839) allows connection of devices with a USB Type-B port — for example printers or external HDD enclosures — to a free USB Type-C™ port on a PC, laptop or tablet. The adapter has a female USB Type-C connector and a male USB 2.0 Type-B connector and features nickel-plated contacts for durability and consistent electrical contact. A USB Type-C cable is required to connect the adapter to the host device.

Advantages

The adapter provides a compact solution for linking USB Type-B peripherals to Type-C hosts without requiring a dedicated cable. Nickel-plated contacts improve corrosion resistance and ensure reliable signal transfer. Support for USB 2.0 provides stable data transfer rates suitable for printers, scanners and many external hard drive enclosures. Its anthracite housing offers a neutral appearance that fits most setups.

Recommendations

Use a high-quality USB Type-C cable that supports USB 2.0 data transfer. Avoid forcing connectors; ensure proper alignment when inserting the Type-B plug. For best results with external drives, use enclosures and drives that support USB 2.0. This adapter does not change the USB version — maximum transfer speeds are limited to USB 2.0 specifications.
