Diebold Nixdorf Base

In the world of point-of-sale hardware, the Diebold Nixdorf CRKA-2100 Basis stands out by delivering reliable performance in a compact, fanless chassis that can be tucked under a counter or mounted behind a display. Unlike bulky desktop PCs, this system is purpose-built for retail and hospitality environments where space is at a premium and downtime is not an option. The quad-core Intel Celeron J1900 processor handles transaction processing, inventory lookups, and customer-facing applications without breaking a sweat, while the solid-state drive ensures rapid boot times and resilience against the bumps and vibrations of a busy checkout lane.

Highlights

• Fanless, compact design for silent operation and easy placement under counters or on shelves
• Quad-core Intel Celeron J1900 processor (2.0 GHz) for smooth multitasking in POS software

In daily use

Imagine a busy retail store during peak hours: the CRKA-2100 quietly processes sales, prints receipts, and communicates with peripherals like barcode scanners, customer displays, and cash drawers. Its four RS232 ports can provide 5V or 12V power to devices like pole displays or scales, eliminating extra power bricks. The fanless cooling means no dust accumulation inside the chassis, reducing maintenance calls. With Wake-on-LAN and PXE boot, IT staff can manage and deploy the system remotely, saving time and money. Whether running a modern Windows 10 IoT interface or a lightweight Linux distribution, this terminal adapts to your software stack.
