DIGITUS Patch Cable - Cat 5e - U-UTP - Snagless - 1 m - Grey

The DIGITUS Patch Cord CAT 5e U/UTP DK-1512-010 is a 1 m grey network patch cable with RJ-45 connectors on both ends, designed to meet Category 5e (100 MHz) standards. The cable is manufactured and tested to ISO/IEC 11801 and DIN EN 50173 Category 5e specifications to ensure compliance with ISO & EN channel requirements and provide stable performance for typical networking environments. The connector features a transparent blue plug for easy identification of Category 5e and a molded boot with kink protection, strain relief and latch protection to reduce the risk of connector damage.

Advantages

The patch cord provides tested performance up to 100 MHz including parameters such as near end crosstalk (NEXT). U/UTP construction offers basic protection against interference while maintaining flexibility for installation. Molded boots deliver kink protection, strain relief and a reinforced latch guard to enhance connector durability during repeated use.

Suitable for

• Structured cabling in offices and homes
• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels
• Patch panels and wall sockets within a 1 m link

Key specifications

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connectors into the corresponding ports on network devices such as switches, routers or wall sockets until the latch clicks. Route the 1 m cable to avoid tight bends and secure it using cable management to prevent strain. The molded boot and strain relief reduce stress at the connector; ensure the latch protection is seated correctly to avoid accidental release.

Recommendations

For best results keep cable runs within the intended 1 m length, avoid sharp bends and do not exceed recommended pulling force when installing. Use the transparent blue plug to quickly identify Category 5e links when organizing multiple patch cords.
