Double socket ShiverPeaks 85300-A — large nut, maximum connectivity

The ShiverPeaks Connector double-socket 85300-A — large nut, maximum connectivity is a dual-contact coupling component engineered for stable electrical and signal connections with enhanced mechanical retention. It features a robust housing and a large threaded nut designed to provide strong fastening when mated through panels or paired with compatible plugs. The connector is intended for environments where reliable twin-contact linkages and firm mechanical connection are required, such as industrial control equipment, cable assemblies, and panel-mounted interfaces.

Advantages

This double-socket connector combines secure dual electrical contact with a large nut for improved mechanical strength, reducing the risk of loosening under vibration or movement. The design supports straightforward panel mounting and integration into existing cabling systems while maintaining consistent contact pressure for signal integrity. Materials and construction emphasize durability and repeated mating cycles, making it suitable for demanding installations.

Suitable for

• Panel-mounted interfaces in industrial and automation equipment
• Cable assemblies requiring a secure two-contact connection
• Enclosures and junctions where mechanical retention is critical
• Signal or low-voltage power connections needing stable contact

Key specifications

• Connector type: double-socket (two mating contacts)
• Mechanical fastening: large threaded nut for panel or bulkhead mounting
• Contact arrangement: dual contacts designed for stable electrical connection
• Intended use: panel mounting or inline cable coupling with robust retention
• Durability: designed for repeated mating cycles and secure mechanical engagement

How to use

Install the connector by inserting it into the prepared panel cut-out and securing it with the large nut from the exterior or interior as appropriate for the installation. Ensure wire terminations or mating plug inserts are properly prepared and aligned with the dual contacts prior to mating. Tighten the nut to the torque appropriate for the panel material to achieve firm mechanical retention without deforming the connector or panel. After assembly, verify continuity and secure seating of both contacts before energizing the circuit.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use this connector in installations where mechanical stability is required; avoid overtightening the nut and follow recommended torque values for your panel material. Inspect contacts periodically if used in high-vibration environments and ensure compatible mating plugs are used to maintain maximum connectivity and signal integrity.
