EFB Elektronik O0330.2 2 m Fibre Optic Cable

The EFB Elektronik O0330.2 2 m fibre optic cable is a duplex OM1 link with LC connectors on both ends and a 62.5 µm core diameter. Designed for short-range multimode connections, this 2 metre cable supports high-speed data transmission between network devices while maintaining signal integrity. Its dual-fibre construction enables simultaneous send and receive channels for full duplex operation in typical LAN and patch panel setups.

Advantages

This fibre optic cable offers stable multimode performance with a 62.5 µm core suited to legacy and mixed multimode environments. The LC terminations provide compact connector size and secure mating in high-density panels. The 2 m length gives a balance between reach and cable management for rack, cabinet and desktop installations. The cable construction is designed for consistent optical characteristics and reliable repeated connections.

Suitable for

• Short-range multimode links in local area networks (LAN)
• Patch panel to switch or transceiver connections
• Server rack and data centre horizontal patching
• Multimode fibre links requiring LC to LC duplex connections

Key specifications

• Fibre type: Multimode (OM1)
• Core diameter: 62.5 µm
• Connector type: LC — LC duplex
• Cable length: 2 m
• Duplex configuration: Full duplex (two fibres)

How to use

Identify the transmit (TX) and receive (RX) ports on your networking devices and align the LC connectors accordingly. Insert each LC connector until it clicks to ensure a secure connection. Route the cable to avoid tight bends; maintain the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius for multimode fibre to prevent attenuation. For removal, depress the LC latch before pulling the connector straight out. Regularly inspect connector endfaces for contamination and clean with fibre-grade wipes or cleaning tools when required.

Recommendations

Use this 2 m OM1 LC–LC cable for intra-rack and short horizontal patching where multimode performance and compact LC connectors are required. Avoid excessive bending and mechanical stress; store unused cable slack to prevent microbends. For environments with higher bandwidth or longer reach requirements, consider multimode OM2/OM3/OM4 or singlemode alternatives as appropriate.
