Einhell 4462005 random orbital sander

The Einhell 4462005 random orbital sander is a compact handheld tool designed for precision sanding on wood, metal and painted surfaces. Delivering an idle oscillation rate of up to 26,000 OPM, it smooths surfaces efficiently while minimising visible sanding marks. The unit uses Velcro-backed sanding discs for quick abrasive changes and includes a 2 m power cable for flexible working range. With a lightweight body of 1.69 kg and an ergonomic shape, the sander is built for extended use in workshops and on-site jobs.

Advantages

The tool combines high oscillation speed with a compact design to provide fast material removal and fine finish control. Velcro sanding media fixing enables rapid disc changes without tools. Its lightweight construction and ergonomic grip reduce operator fatigue during prolonged tasks. The 2 m cable offers freedom of movement without cumbersome extension leads, and the robust housing supports regular workshop and DIY use.

• Power supply: mains-powered with 2 m cable
• Weight: 1.69 kg

How to use

Connect the sander to a suitable mains outlet and fit a Velcro-backed sanding disc of the appropriate grit for the task. Hold the tool with a firm, comfortable grip and apply light, even pressure while moving the sander over the surface in overlapping passes. For best results start with a coarser grit to remove material and progress to finer grits for a smooth finish. Avoid excessive pressure that can create swirls or damage the workpiece. After use, switch off and unplug the sander before changing discs or performing any maintenance.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment such as safety glasses and a dust mask, and consider a dust extraction system or vacuum for cleaner working conditions. Match sanding disc grit to the material and task: coarser grits for rapid removal, finer grits for finishing. Store the tool in a dry place and inspect the power cable before each use.
