ELATEC cable TWN mini USB 12cm

When a standard USB cable cannot provide the exact fit and reliability required by professional RFID setups, the ELATEC CAB-M1 steps in as the purpose-built link between TWN3/TWN4 readers and host systems. At just 12 cm, it eliminates excess slack in kiosks, access terminals, and embedded enclosures where space is at a premium, while its USB 2.0 architecture ensures stable data transfer up to 480 Mbps. The cable’s USB-A to Mini-B configuration matches the native port on ELATEC’s compact readers, making it a direct replacement or spare for field deployments. Unlike generic cables that may suffer from signal degradation or loose connections, the CAB-M1 uses tinned copper conductors, foil-and-braid shielding, and nickel-plated connectors to maintain integrity in electrically noisy environments. This is not a universal accessory—it is a precision component for ELATEC hardware.

Highlights

• Native compatibility with ELATEC TWN3 and TWN4 series RFID readers
• USB 2.0 high-speed data transfer up to 480 Mbps
• Ultra-short 12 cm length for clean, space-saving installations
• Dual shielding (foil and braid) reduces electromagnetic interference
• Nickel-plated connectors resist corrosion and ensure repeated mating cycles
• PVC jacket offers flexibility and durability for industrial use
• Plug-and-play operation—no drivers or configuration needed
• RoHS compliant for environmental safety

In daily use

Technicians and integrators will appreciate how the CAB-M1 simplifies installation in tight spaces. Whether mounted inside a turnstile, a point-of-sale terminal, or a laboratory workstation, the short cable prevents tangling and accidental disconnection. The USB-A end connects to any standard host port, while the Mini-B end locks securely into the reader. Data and power flow simultaneously, so the reader powers up as soon as the host is active. The cable’s 28 AWG power conductors and 28 AWG twisted data pair maintain signal integrity even when routed near motors or RFID antennas. For maintenance teams, keeping a spare CAB-M1 on hand minimizes downtime because it is a known-good component tested with ELATEC readers.
