Equip LC/SC Fibre Optic Patch Cable, OS2, 1.0m

The Equip LC/SC Optical Fiber Patch Cord is a 1.0 m OS2 single-mode cable with a 9 µm core diameter designed for reliable high-speed data transmission. It features LC and SC connectors on each end for easy connection between networking equipment. The cable construction and connector end-face geometry are optimized to minimize return loss and insertion loss, making this patch cord suitable for data centers, telecommunications and other structured cabling installations.

Advantages

This Optical Fiber Patch Cord offers low return loss and low insertion loss due to precise connector end-face geometry and quality materials. The availability of LC and SC connector types allows compatibility with a wide range of network ports. The 1.0 m length provides convenient patching in rack and cabinet environments while maintaining signal integrity for full duplex communication.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, transceivers and patch panels in data centres
• Telecommunications links and carrier networks
• Server rooms and structured cabling installations
• Fiber optic testing and temporary link setups

How to use

Ensure both ends of the optical connectors are clean and free of dust or debris before connection. Align the LC and SC connectors with the appropriate ports and insert until they click or are secured. Route the patch cord to avoid sharp bends and excessive tension; maintain the minimum bend radius recommended for single-mode fiber. For disconnection, release any locking mechanism and gently withdraw the connector from the port.

Recommendations

Use a fiber inspection scope and approved cleaning tools to keep connector end-faces clean. Store unused patch cords with protective caps fitted to the connectors. Avoid stepping on or crushing the cable and do not exceed the specified bend radius to preserve performance.
