Equip SC/SC fibre optic patch cable, OM4, 0.5m

The Equip SC/SC Fiber Optic Patch Cable OM4 0.5m is constructed from high-quality materials to provide consistent insertion loss, return loss, and reliable endface geometry. With a 50 µm core diameter and SC to SC connectors in an OM4 multimode specification, this 0.5 metre patch cord supports full-duplex transmission and is intended for high-speed data networking applications.

Advantages

This fiber optic patch cable offers stable optical performance thanks to precise endface geometry and quality connector assembly. The OM4 multimode rating enables higher bandwidth and better support for high-speed transmission over short to medium distances. The SC/SC connector pair provides easy and secure connections in standard network equipment.

Suitable for

• Data centre patch panels and switch interconnects
• Server room and LAN backbone connections
• High-speed multimode network links (short to medium reach)
• Patch cabling between optical distribution frames

How to use

Inspect connector endfaces for contamination before connecting; clean with appropriate fiber cleaning tools if necessary. Align and insert the SC connectors into compatible SC ports until they click into place. Use proper cable routing to avoid tight bends and mechanical strain. For removal, depress the SC latch and pull straight out to prevent damage to the ferrule or port.

Recommendations

Store the cable in a dry, dust-free environment and avoid bending the cable below the manufacturer’s minimum bend radius. Use this OM4 SC/SC 0.5m patch cable for short to medium multimode links in data centre and LAN environments where reliable, low-loss connections are required.
