Why buy EQUIP at DistriNode?
SC and LC fibre-optic connectors
EQUIP stocks SC and LC couplers in single-mode (APC green, UPC blue) and multi-mode (OM3 turquoise, OM4 beige). SC-APC couplers reduce back reflections thanks to the 8° angled polish — ideal for long-distance single-mode links and PON networks. LC is recommended for patch panels with a high port density.
Patch panel density for rack planning
EQUIP patch panels are available with 24 and 48 ports. A 1U 24-port panel suits small server rooms; the 48-port model shortens cable runs in larger installations. Allow 10–15 % spare ports for future expansion.
TV mount: choosing the right VESA standard
EQUIP TV wall mounts follow the VESA hole pattern standard. Measure the horizontal and vertical spacing of your screen's mounting holes (e.g. 200×200 or 400×400 mm) and match it against the mount's specification. Also check the maximum load capacity against the weight of your television.
USB-C PD — choosing the right charging power
EQUIP USB-C adapters with 100 W Power Delivery (e.g. model 133476) charge notebooks, tablets and smartphones quickly at the same time. Notebooks require 45–65 W, tablets 18–30 W and smartphones 15–25 W.

Technical note — SC APC versus SC UPC: SC-APC connectors (green housing) have an 8° angled polish that deflects back reflections away from the fibre core — this is essential for long-distance single-mode and PON networks. SC-UPC connectors (blue housing) have a flat polished end face and suit short single-mode or legacy multi-mode connections. Never mix APC and UPC in the same fibre link — this causes increased insertion loss.
Frequently asked questions
Which Ethernet cable categories does EQUIP offer at DistriNode?
At DistriNode you will find EQUIP patch cables in categories Cat 5e, Cat 6, Cat 6A and Cat 7 in various lengths and colours. Cat 6A supports 10-Gigabit Ethernet up to 100 m and is recommended for new structured cabling installations; Cat 6 is the economical choice for standard Gigabit networks.
Are EQUIP fibre-optic couplers compatible with cables from other manufacturers?
Yes. EQUIP SC and LC couplers conform to the dimensions of IEC 61754 and therefore fit all standards-compliant SC or LC connectors regardless of manufacturer. Make sure to match the connector type (SC or LC) and the polish type (APC or UPC) — mixing APC and UPC in the same link leads to high insertion loss.
Does DistriNode offer volume pricing for EQUIP products?
Yes. DistriNode sells EQUIP products and can offer attractive tiered prices to resellers, system integrators and installers. Please contact our trade department for a tailored quote.
