Faber-Castell 115220 Graphite Pencil Set

The Faber-Castell 115220 graphite pencil set contains 11 Pitt Graphite Matt pencils packed in a durable tin. These graphite pencils are engineered to minimise surface reflections and provide a matt laydown that helps achieve strong depth and tonal gradation across different hardness grades. The set is made from quality wood and designed for reliable handling and consistent results for drawing, sketching and technical work.

Advantages

Pitt Graphite Matt pencils reduce light reflections compared with traditional graphite, allowing clearer darks and smoother transitions. The range of hardness grades in the 11-pencil tin permits precise control of tone and texture. The metal tin protects pencils during storage and transport.

How to use

Select pencils of different hardness to build layers of tone: use harder grades for fine lines and light shading, softer grades for rich darks and blending. Sharpen with a suitable sharpener to maintain a precise point; apply varying pressure and directional strokes to achieve texture and depth. For smooth gradients, work from light to dark and blend gently with a paper stump or soft tissue where needed.

Recommendations

Store the pencils in the metal tin to protect the leads and keep them dry. Test paper types for compatibility — smoother papers enhance the matt effect while textured papers increase tooth and grip.
