Fibre optic dust cap with chain DELOCK 86848

The DeLOCK Fiber optic dust cap with chain (model 86848) protects the ferrule of an LC connector from dirt and mechanical damage. It is intended for use with LC plugs and combines a metal cap with plastic components to provide durable protection. The white color gives a neutral appearance and the attached chain keeps the cap secured to the cable or equipment to prevent loss.

Advantages

The metal and plastic construction provides robust protection for the LC ferrule while remaining lightweight. The included chain secures the cap to cable assemblies or panels to reduce the risk of misplacement. The cap’s shape and fit are designed specifically for LC connectors to protect against dust and debris without affecting the ferrule.

Suitable for

• Protecting LC fiber optic plugs during storage and transport
• Securing open LC ports on patch panels and equipment
• Preventing contamination of ferrules in assembly or installation environments
