Filter Set for DJI Mini 5 Pro Mega Kit — Freewell FW-MN5-MEGA

Freewell Filter set for DJI Mini 5 Pro Mega Kit is a collection of lens filters created for use with the DJI Mini 5 Pro Mega Kit configuration. The set contains neutral density and polarizing elements designed to control the amount and quality of light reaching the camera sensor, helping to manage exposure, reduce reflections, and preserve color fidelity in aerial photos and video. These filters attach to the drone camera in the Mega Kit setup to support consistent shutter speeds and improved image clarity when shooting in varied lighting conditions.

Advantages

The Freewell filter set provides precise exposure control and reduced glare through optical-grade glass elements and multi-coating treatments to minimize flare and ghosting. It enables smoother motion rendering by allowing longer shutter speeds in bright environments, and the polarizing option helps remove unwanted reflections and deepen sky contrast. The compact, lightweight design is optimized for aerial use with the Mini 5 Pro Mega Kit, maintaining balance and flight performance while expanding creative control over color and exposure.

Suitable for

• Aerial landscape photography and videography
• Bright daylight shooting where neutral density is needed
• Scenes with water, glass or reflective surfaces where polarization reduces glare
• Capturing smooth motion and cinematic footage by controlling shutter speed

Key specifications

• Filter types: neutral density (ND) and circular polarizer (CPL) variants
• Optical material: multi-coated glass for improved light transmission and reduced reflections
• Mounting: designed to fit the DJI Mini 5 Pro Mega Kit camera configuration
• Weight: low-profile, lightweight design suitable for drone flight
• Finish: anti-reflective coatings and durable frame to resist handling and environmental exposure

How to use

Attach the appropriate filter to the camera assembly of the DJI Mini 5 Pro Mega Kit following the Mega Kit's mounting procedure. Choose an ND filter strength that matches ambient brightness to achieve the desired shutter speed for motion blur or exposure control; switch to the CPL when reducing reflections and increasing sky contrast is required. Check framing and exposure in the drone's live view before flight, and perform a test pass at the intended exposure settings to confirm results. Remove and store filters in their protective case when not in use to keep coatings clean and free from scratches.

Recommendations

For best results, select ND values based on lighting: lower ND for overcast or low-light conditions, higher ND for bright sun. Use the circular polarizer at oblique angles to the sun to maximize polarization effect and avoid altering auto-exposure dramatically. Always verify balance and gimbal calibration after attaching filters to ensure stable flight and consistent image capture.
