Fischer 53261 Plug

The Fischer 53261 screw anchor is a wall plug engineered for reliable anchoring in brick and concrete. With a length of 45 mm and suitable for a 6 mm drill hole, this plug provides a stable connection for fixtures and fittings in masonry substrates. The product comes in a box of 50 pieces, allowing for small to medium installation projects and routine repairs.

Advantages

The wall plug is manufactured from durable plastic formulated for consistent expansion and load distribution in solid masonry. Its dimensions and geometry reduce the risk of splitting in brick and ensure dependable holding power in concrete. Packaged in quantities of 50, the plugs are convenient for contractors and DIY users who need multiple fixings without frequent reordering.

Suitable for

• Fixing shelves, cabinets and brackets to brick walls
• Anchoring light to medium loads in concrete
• General household repairs and small renovation tasks
• Mounting fixtures where a 6 mm drill hole is appropriate

Key specifications

• Length: 45 mm
• Required drill hole diameter: 6 mm
• Minimum drill hole depth: 55 mm
• Material type: engineered plastic (for expansion anchors)
• Packaging quantity: 50 pieces per box
• Recommended substrate: brick and concrete

How to use

Drill a hole of 6 mm diameter to at least 55 mm depth into the masonry using a suitable hammer drill or rotary drill with a masonry bit. Clean the hole of dust and debris to ensure full seating. Insert the Fischer wall plug flush with the surface, then drive the appropriate screw into the plug until the fixture is secured. Use a screw length that allows full engagement of the plug while leaving enough thread for a secure connection. Follow common safety practices when working with power tools and ensure the load does not exceed the capacities typical for plastic expansion anchors in brick or concrete.

Recommendations

For best results, match screw diameter and length to the plug dimensions and intended load. In hollow or weak substrates, consider anchors specifically designed for those conditions. When fixing heavy items, verify load ratings for the chosen anchor and consult technical data for combined safety margins.
