Fischer 670158 Screw 45 mm

Fischer 670158 45 mm screws are metal wood screws engineered for reliable fastening in carpentry and general construction. Each screw has an overall length of 45 mm with 35 mm of threaded shank and a 4 mm nominal diameter, providing secure grip in timber and wood-based panels. Supplied in a bulk pack of 1000 pieces, these screws are intended for projects requiring consistent mechanical performance and high quantities.

Advantages

These screws feature a full-metal construction that delivers mechanical strength and durability under load. The 35 mm thread length offers deep engagement in standard timber thicknesses while the 4 mm diameter balances shear resistance with ease of driving. The consistent manufacturing and dimensional tolerances support uniform performance across large batches, reducing the need to sort fasteners during preparation.

Suitable for

• General carpentry and joinery work
• Fixing wood panels, battens and subframes
• Interior construction and furniture assembly
• DIY renovation and repair projects

Key specifications

• Material: metal (steel)
• Overall length: 45 mm
• Thread length: 35 mm
• Nominal diameter: 4 mm
• Pack quantity: 1000 pieces
• Head type: countersunk/flat head suitable for recessed finish (dependent on model)

How to use

Select an appropriate pilot hole or use self-tapping technique depending on the wood species and density. For hardwoods, pre-drilling a pilot hole slightly smaller than the nominal diameter reduces splitting; for softwoods a smaller or no pilot hole may be required. Drive the screw with a compatible screwdriver bit or power driver at moderate speed, maintaining alignment to avoid cam-out and to ensure the head seats flush or to the required depth. Use corrosion-resistant practices if the application is exposed to moisture or outdoors.

Recommendations

For best results, match screw length to material thickness so the threaded portion fully engages the receiving piece without protrusion. When assembling structural joints or load-bearing elements, follow relevant construction guidelines and use appropriate protective coatings or stainless variants for prolonged outdoor exposure.
