Full Range Speaker Driver Omnitronic ED-60T

The Omnitronic ED-60T is a full range speaker driver designed for balanced, wideband audio reproduction in compact enclosures and sound reinforcement systems. With an RMS rated power of 60 W and a round frame measuring 122 x 173 mm, this driver delivers consistent performance for voice and music applications while remaining compact and straightforward to integrate into DIY speaker projects or professional installations.

Advantages

The ED-60T provides dependable continuous power handling of 60 W RMS and a form factor that fits standard round mounting cutouts, enabling flexible installation. Its construction emphasizes stable sound across the audible spectrum, making it suitable where accurate midrange and usable low-frequency response from a single driver are required. The driver’s moderate weight and compact dimensions simplify handling and mounting in cabinets or portable enclosures.

Key specifications

How to use

Install the driver into a suitably braced enclosure with an appropriate mounting cutout and secure it with screws or bolts that match the frame. Match the driver to an amplifier that can deliver up to its rated RMS power while observing proper impedance and crossover arrangements if used in a multi-driver system. For best results, test the driver in the chosen enclosure and adjust porting or internal damping to obtain the desired frequency balance.

Recommendations

Use the Omnitronic ED-60T with an amplifier that provides clean power near or below 60 W RMS to avoid thermal overload. When integrating into multi-way systems, apply a suitable crossover to protect the driver from excessive low-frequency content and to optimize overall system response.
