Gardena 18255-50 hose connector

The Gardena 18255-50 hose connector is a metal coupling designed to join a garden hose to fittings quickly and reliably. Finished in black and silver, the connector provides a secure, watertight link that reduces the risk of leaks and supports steady water flow during watering tasks. It is compatible with standard hose diameters and engineered for simple manual attachment and release, making it a practical tool for seasonal and everyday garden maintenance.

Advantages

The metal construction offers enhanced durability compared with plastic alternatives and maintains shape under typical outdoor conditions. The smooth finish resists corrosion and allows easy handling, while the precision fit helps prevent dripping at the connection point. Its ergonomic design supports fast hand-tight connection and detachment without tools, saving time when changing hoses or attachments.

Suitable for

• Connecting standard garden hoses to taps, sprinklers or watering guns
• Replacing worn or leaking hose couplings
• Temporary setups for lawn irrigation and plant watering
• Home and small allotment garden watering tasks

Key specifications

• Material: metal body with corrosion-resistant finish
• Color: black and silver
• Compatibility: standard garden hose diameters (common sizes)
• Connection type: push-fit/hand-tight coupling for quick attach/detach
• Function: watertight hose-to-fitting connection for irrigation use

How to use

Align the connector with the hose end and push the hose onto the fitting until it seats fully. Hand-tighten the coupling to ensure a firm, watertight seal; avoid over-tightening with tools to prevent damage. To disconnect, press the release mechanism (if present) or twist and pull the hose away from the connector while supporting the fitting. Inspect the connection after first use to confirm there are no leaks and re-seat if necessary.

Recommendations

For reliable performance, use the connector with hoses and fittings that match standard garden hose diameters. Periodically check the metal finish and seals for wear, especially after winter storage, and replace if corrosion or leaks appear. Avoid exposing the connector to harsh chemicals or freezing water inside the hose to extend service life.
