Gedore 6501020 hand saw

The Gedore 6501020 hand saw is a compact cutting tool designed for precision work on wood and metal. It features a flat, zinc-plated bar (10 x 5 mm) and accepts junior hacksaw blades 145 mm long (saw blades 404 A–406 A). The saw has a 50 mm reach and a glass-fibre reinforced plastic handle for durability and lightweight handling.

Advantages

The zinc-plated flat bar resists corrosion while providing stable blade support, and the glass-fibre reinforced plastic handle offers a balance of strength and low weight. Compatibility with standard 145 mm junior hacksaw blades makes blade changes simple and ensures availability of replacement blades. The 50 mm reach allows access into tighter areas for controlled cutting.

How to use

Fit a compatible 145 mm junior hacksaw blade (type 404 A–406 A) into the saw frame according to the blade orientation required for cutting direction. Secure the blade tension so it is straight and stable. Hold the glass-fibre reinforced plastic handle with a comfortable grip and use controlled back-and-forth strokes suited to the material—finer teeth for metal, coarser for wood. Maintain steady pressure and allow the blade to do the cutting to avoid bending or premature wear.

Recommendations

Inspect blades before use and replace damaged or worn blades. For longer blade life, use the correct blade type for the material and keep the saw clean and dry; store in a dry place when not in use.
