Gembird A-RCAFF-01 RCA Cable Gender Changer

The Gembird A-RCAFF-01 is a female RCA gender changer with gold-plated contacts designed to join two RCA cables and maintain consistent audio and video signal transfer. Its compact black housing with gold contact surfaces provides a straightforward solution for adapting or extending existing RCA-based connections without modifying cables or devices.

Advantages

The gold-plated contacts reduce corrosion and improve conductivity for stable signal transmission. The compact form factor allows placement in confined spaces behind AV cabinets or entertainment centers. Built with a simple, durable construction, the adapter provides a reliable mechanical and electrical connection between two male RCA plugs.

Suitable for

• Connecting two RCA audio cables to extend length
• Joining RCA video cables for composite video signals
• Temporary or permanent connections in home theater setups
• Linking audio equipment such as amplifiers, receivers, and CD players

Key specifications

• Connector type: RCA female to RCA female
• Contact finish: gold-plated contacts for improved conductivity
• Housing colour: black with gold contacts
• Form factor: compact inline adapter for easy placement

How to use

Insert the male RCA plug of one cable into one side of the adapter and the male RCA plug of the second cable into the opposite side until firmly seated. Ensure the plugs are fully inserted to maintain a secure electrical connection and minimize signal loss. The adapter can remain connected in-line between devices or be used temporarily when rearranging equipment.

Recommendations

The adapter is intended for low-voltage analogue audio and composite video signals; avoid using it in high-voltage or digital-only coaxial applications. For best signal quality, use with well-shielded RCA cables and keep connections free of dust and moisture. If experiencing intermittent sound or video issues, reseat the plugs or replace worn cables.
