Goobay 72012 Video Cable Adapter HDMI Type-A Plug Black Silver

The Goobay Plus series adapter in Sharkskin Grey features a slim metal housing with an angled HDMI Type A male connector reinforced with aluminium. Designed to connect HDMI cables in tight spaces such as the back of a TV or the side of a laptop, the adapter keeps the cable close to the device to reduce bending and prevent cable damage. The product is supplied in a black and silver finish and is CE and WEEE certified.

Advantages

The angled HDMI Type A male connector allows connection where straight plugs would not fit, while the aluminium reinforcement increases mechanical durability. The slim metal design minimises space usage and the close-running cable reduces the risk of kinking and connector strain. CE and WEEE markings indicate compliance with relevant safety and disposal standards.

Suitable for

• Connecting an HDMI cable to TVs with recessed ports
• Use with laptops or compact devices with side HDMI ports
• Situations where cable routing close to the device is required to avoid stress

How to use

Insert the HDMI Type A male connector of the adapter into the device port (TV, monitor or laptop). Then connect a standard HDMI cable to the adapter’s opposite HDMI Type A male end. Ensure both connections are fully seated. Route the HDMI cable along the device so it follows the adapter’s angle, avoiding sharp bends near the connector.

Recommendations

The adapter is intended as a mechanical and space-saving solution; do not use excessive force when inserting or removing connectors. For long-term installations, periodically check the connector seating and cable condition to avoid wear. This adapter does not change HDMI signal specifications—use compatible HDMI cables for the desired video/audio performance.
