GPS Receiver Module Navilock NL-8008T Black

The Navilock NL-8008T Black is a compact 4-pin stereo jack TTL multi-GNSS receiver based on the u-blox 8 chipset with a built-in antenna. It receives L1 navigation signals at 1575.42 MHz and is designed for applications that require a small, self-contained GPS module with reliable signal sensitivity. The module measures 65 mm × 45 mm × 22 mm and supports cold acquisition times around 26 seconds.

Advantages

The NL-8008T integrates a high-sensitivity GNSS engine and an on-board antenna in a compact housing, reducing the need for an external antenna. Its 4-pin stereo jack TTL interface simplifies connection to microcontrollers and embedded systems. Based on the u-blox 8 chipset, it provides stable reception of L1 signals and predictable acquisition performance.

Suitable for

• Embedded systems and microcontroller projects requiring GPS position data
• Vehicle tracking and fleet management prototypes
• Portable devices and handheld equipment with limited space

Key specifications

• Model: Navilock NL-8008T Black (MPN 62586, EAN 4043619625864)
• GNSS chipset: u-blox 8
• Supported band: L1 (1575.42 MHz)
• Interface: 4-pin stereo jack TTL
• Built-in antenna for high sensitivity
• Cold acquisition time: approx. 26 s
• Dimensions: 65 mm × 45 mm × 22 mm

How to use

Connect the NL-8008T to your host device using the 4-pin stereo jack TTL interface following the pinout provided by the manufacturer. Power the module with the appropriate supply voltage, allow a clear view of the sky for optimal satellite reception, and read NMEA output or binary messages over the TTL serial connection. Use standard u-blox configuration commands if parameter adjustment is required.

Recommendations

The module performs best with an unobstructed view of the sky and mounted away from large metal surfaces or strong RF noise sources. For stationary or vehicle installations, verify orientation and secure the module to avoid movement that could affect reception.
